According to the decision taken by the Honorable Supreme Court of India on 08/05/2009 in Civil Appeal No. 887/2009, the University Grants Commission, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (g) of sub-section (1), Section 26 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956 and the subsequent “Regulations 2009 on preventing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions” have been notified.

To prevent and eliminate this crisis in higher educational institutions, instructions have been given by UGC to strictly implement the said regulation and also by the office of Coordinator Anti Ragging Cell BRA Bihar University, Letter No. B/1546 dated 12/06/2024. have received.

Also to ensure strict compliance of Anti Ragging Regulations 2009 and to stop ragging, instructions have been received to establish a monitoring system for all the institutions.
